I’m Jo Katsaras — costume designer, fabric collector, storyteller… and the Ruby in Ruby & Rogue.

After decades of designing costumes for film and television, working with filmmakers such as Anthony Minghella, John Boorman and Phillip Noyce, I realised the thing I loved most wasn’t fashion in the traditional sense — it was character. Clothes that feel lived in, unforgettable, slightly rebellious and completely their own.

Over the years, I’ve gathered fabrics from all over the world — beautiful linens, cottons and handwoven textiles collected like souvenirs from different chapters of life. Every print, colour and texture tells a story.

The Rogue is my son, Thane Katsaras — graphic designer, entrepreneur and creative instigator. Where I lean into vintage soul and storytelling, Thane brings bold ideas, fresh energy and a playful edge. Together, we design original fabrics and create pieces that are expressive, effortless and made to be worn on real adventures.
